The introduction of Bisection, False-Position and Newton–Raphson methods to identify the real positive root of an equation which is provided here. The rate of convergence is fastest in Newton–Raphson method due to the quadratic convergence compared with the other two iterative methods. We have applied here the three iterative methods in solving non-linear equations in MATLAB environment and compared the outcomes of results as well as geometrically also. Finally, an illustrative algebraic example is discussed and the MATLAB outputs are provided to check the validity of the new approach.Read More
