Title: Numerical Investigation of Heat Conducting Walls Influence on Natural Convective-Radiative Heat Transfer With A Heat-Generating Source
Abstract: Mathematical modeling of conjugate natural convective-radiative heat transfer in an enclosure with a local heat-generating source has been carried out. The effect of heat-conducting walls has been taken into account. During the investigations, the shape of the local heat source has been changed, and the volumetric heat flux density of the energy source has been varied. The calculations have been carried out at the following values of the governing parameters: Ra = 104 – 106, Pr = 0.7, e = 0 – 0.9, Os = 1 – 5. As a result of the studies, the distributions of both local and integral characteristics have been obtained, the surface emissivity effect has been evaluated, and the impact of heat-conducting surfaces on heat and mass transfer within the cavity also has been estimated.
