Abstract: Investigators continue research to identify the etiology of migraine, a condition affecting millions. An essential step in the management of migraine patients is the elimination of as many precipitating factors as possible. Although many agents are effective in aborting migraine attacks, research continues with other drugs. Part 2 of this series will discuss the prophylactic therapies for migraine.
