Abstract: Drilling activity in south Texas in 1984 decreased only modestly, compared with 1983, but the trend became increasingly negative as the year progressed. Oligocene Frio and Eocene Wilcox sands were the most often sought drilling objectives. A new trend was opened for downdip Yegua sands along strike from a Jackson County discovery.
