Title: Hardware Design of Chaotic Pseudo-Random Number Generator Based on Nonlinear Feedback Shift Register
Abstract: Generating pseudo-random sequence is an essential component of security and encryption tasks. Full length sequences with large period, high output complexity is one of the most important requirements for the security and encryption applications. Different structures and various components are used in random number generators, include most notably, linear feedback shift register, non-linear feedback shift register, and pseudo-random chaos generators. In this paper by review and compare the features of each structure, a new design consists of non-linear feedback shift register and pseudo-random chaos generator is presented generating random numbers with high output quality. Output signal is noise-like and shows a good autocorrelation function and looks like a 6-function. Presented design has an appropriate random characteristic and with improvements compared with previous works.
