Title: Timing of Minor Amputation Following Lower Extremity Revascularization Impacts Healing Outcomes
Abstract: Efforts at limb salvage in patients with critical limb ischemia (CLI) often involve surgical or endovascular revascularization and foot debridement or minor amputation. Minor amputations have high rates of wound-healing complications and need for additional debridement or re-amputation. Many studies have identified risk factors for non-healing, however none have examined the impact of timing of minor amputation following revascularization. This study aims to identify if timing of minor amputation after revascularization impacts wound healing outcomes.
