Title: The determination of professional education and training: modern accents
Abstract: The article analyzed the features of professional education and training in Ukraine. The contents of the concepts
«vocational education» and «training» are solved. The regulatory framework in the field of education, allowing to
specify the purpose of professional education and training, its level of implementation are investigated. The main
stages, trends and prospects of vocational education in Ukraine are characterized. Professional content paradigm in
university education, serving the most important component of higher education is considered. Within this paradigm
science stops to be independent as a means of knowledge and explanation of the world. It began to function as productive
force that contributes to the development of technology and production directly. As a result of this approach
university began to concentrate and expand not only the range of knowledge, but also the best examples of socio-cultural and professional activity. The new Law of Ukraine «On Higher Education» is analyzed, according to which higher
education provides fundamental scientific, professional and practical training, obtaining higher education degrees
citizens according to their wishes, interests and abilities, improving scientific and professional training, retraining and professional development. It is proved that professional education and training in the first place, should be seen as a necessary condition for the full development of the individual as a specialist high skills, his professionalism is the key to a broad and effective application of new knowledge-based information technology, improving living standards, ensure economic stability. It is underlined the need for advanced training models of competitive professionals able to provide progressive advancement of the information society.
