Title: KULTUROLOŠKE RAZLIKE U MEĐUNARODNOM POSLOVANJU
Abstract: The goal of this paper is to display the importance of a variety of business cultures and communication in the world. In order to achieve the success, managers and business organizations, before traveling on a business meeting to some other country, should dedicate a lot of time to properly learn the basic cultural customs. The key role in international management, other than culture, belongs to communication. The communication can be either verbal or nonverbal, with nonverbal having more of an impact because it involves moves and symbols which have different meanings in different cultures. One wrong step or detail in nonverbal communication can negatively impact the outcome of business decisions and create a bad impression on the interlocutor. Cultural impact on international management, as a process of equal interpersonal relationship, presents a very hopeful goal which involves connecting different people and their cultures by respecting each other and not caring about cultural differences. Business culture became a major topic only 30 years ago, even though it had been recognized ages ago. It can be defined as a way of doing and thinking in a specific organization. It is very hard to define business culture, analyze and measure it, and that makes it hard to manage. Every culture and organization has its own rules of behavior, business etiquette, and ethical codex. As an example, the paper includes an interview with a lady from South Korea and shows the business customs of her country.
