This increasing interest in the intersection of work and family lives has led to research concerning the health consequences of work-family conflict as well as other work-family and work-life processes (Eby, Casper, Lockwood, Bordeaux & Brinley, 2005; Allen, Herst, Bruck & Sutton, 2000). A focus on health is important given the considerable increase in health care costs and the impact of rising costs on organizations. This symposium seeks to highlight new contributions to the work-family and health literature and discuss the implications such research holds for employee health and organizational health care.Unhealthy Balance?
