Title: Design and Realization of Vehicle Navigation and Monitoring System Based on GPS and GIS
Abstract: Although1 the current urban transportation network is approaching maturity, due to the rapid spread of family cars, traffic congestion has become a "difficult disease". This paper firstly overall analyzes the vehicle navigation and monitoring system based on GPS and GIS, then the genetic algorithm is used to solve the dynamic optimal path search model for dynamic traffic network, and the main functions, software structure and main modules of the vehicle navigation and monitoring system based on GPS and GIS are designed. Finally, the system is realized. In addition, through field testing, the paper also shows the efficiency of the system. By combining the genetic algorithm, the system realizes accurate positioning and real-time command of the vehicle, and plans the most reasonable route for a driving vehicle, which plays a role in relieving congestion and keeping the traffic smooth in the urban road network. In special cases, this system also guides police cars, ambulances, fire engines and emergency vehicles to drive along the optimal path to reach their destination in the shortest time.
