The woman's age, family environment, religion, level of education of couples, parity and social habits of their husbands has influenced significantly the incidence of violence. Physical intimate partner violence during pregnancy could affect the mother and her foetus directly and directly. This is a serious problem but under reported. In Malaysia the reported incidence is around 4.5%. Proper counselling and serious enforcement of laws are essential to safeguard the pregnant mother and her baby.Read More
