Title: Does Human Resource Management Contribute to the Development of Logistics and Supply Chain Capabilities? an Empirical Study of Logistics Service Providers in China
Abstract: This paper examines the relationship between the human resource management processes of induction, recruitment and selection, performance management, reward management, and training and development and the key logistics capabilities of integrated logistics services (ILS), information and communication technology (ICT), flexible supply chain (FSC) solutions, and industry-specific logistics expertise (ISLE) in 98 logistic service providers in China. Using regression analysis, induction, training and development were found to enhance ILS while recruitment and selection was found to have negative impact on ILS.
