Title: The Complicated Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy
Abstract: Laparoscopic cholecystectomy has rapidly become the first-line surgical treatment for documented gallbladder disease. Initially, trained surgeons should undertake straightforward cases, progressing to more complex ones with increasing experience. The methods of predicting and dealing with these challenging patients are outlined. Conversion to open cholecystectomy remains a valid therapeutic option.
