Title: Simulation of permanent magnet synchronous motor with sensor less field oriented control and harmonic analysis
Abstract: Currently the higher practice of permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) in industry owing to its higher performance and efficiency leads to assess the motor in real time scenario before mounting it at work place. The real time evaluation of PMSM has been accomplished in MATLAB/Simulink with exploitation of PMSM mathematical model. The vector control also known as field oriented control (FOC) has been instigated for precise speed control of the PMSM. Proportional integral derivative (PID) controller in the vector control has been tuned to operate in the constant torque and flux weakening regions. The harmonic analysis has been carried out at various speeds for constant pole numbers. Simulation and harmonic analysis has been executed in the SIMULINK software.
