Title: Pulmonary Artery Pulsatility Index Predicts Right Ventricular Failure Post-LVAD Implantation in Ischemic Cardiomyopathy
Abstract: Right ventricular failure (RVF) is a common cause of mortality and morbidity after LVAD implantation. Pulmonary artery pulstaility index (PAPi) is a newer hemodynamic measure found to predict RVF in myocardial infarction patients and has been increasingly applied to LVAD patients. Whether PAPi stratifies risk in ischemic cardiomyopathy (ICM) and nonischemic cardiomyopathy (NICM) is unknown.
