Title: Successful Aging in Place: Seniors’ Reflections and Perspectives About What Constitutes Successful Aging
Abstract: Successful aging-in-place is a term in the literature commonly used to describe how seniors can remain in their homes; however many seniors have moved from their homes as they face personal endangerment with falls, illness and worsening memory. Information is lacking about how seniors interpret successful aging-in-place, yet understanding this is essential to the discussion of future living plans. The objective of this study was to qualitatively assess seniors' perceptions of the terms "successful aging" and "successful aging in place."
