Title: Biodegradability Determination of Soy Protein Concentrate -Corn Starch- C30B Nanocomposites
Abstract: In this study the biodegradability of Soy protein Concentrate (SPC) crosslinked with Corn starch (CS) and Cloisite 30B (C30B) has been discussed threadbare.The nanocomposites were prepared by employing the solution casting method.The physical and chemical properties of nanocomposites SPC-CS/C30B were investigated using XRD, FTIR, SEM, TGA and tensile strength.The biodegradation properties of samples were measured by micro-organic culture testing, enzymatic absorbance in water, soil burial and compost testing in both laboratory and field conditions.SPC-CS/C30B nanocomposites exhibited favourable physical properties.Additionally it was observed that when the percentage of C30B was increased up to 4% with SPC/CS, the tensile strength was also increased up to 45.67%.The morphology study of SPC-CS/C30B was found exfoliated form with porous structure.
