Title: Numerical modeling of borosilicate doped photonic-crystal fiber for mid-IR supercontinuum generation
Abstract: In the work presented here, a multi-material chalcogenide solid-core photonic crystal fiber is carefully engineered to obtain a flattened dispersion and zero dispersion wavelengths. The designed PCF was numerically simulated and optimized to obtain requisite effective area, nonlinearity, dispersion and other characteristics for generation of supercontinuum generation. A 100mm long PCF of proposed design was simulated for supercontinuum generation at pump wavelength of 2.8μm with pump power of 1000W. The broadband supercontinuum spanning 600nm to 4800nm was obtained with the proposed fiber design.
