Title: Research on the control strategy optimization for energy management system of hybrid electric vehicle
Abstract: The application of the hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) can alleviate the crisis of environment and energy. Energy management strategy (EMS) which is the key technology of HEV plays an important role in the vehicle performance. Once the driving conditions are complicated, the current control strategy which has real-time application capability cannot achieve an ideal fuel economy. Therefore, an improved fuzzy control energy management strategy is presented in this paper. A global optimal strategy with dynamic programming (DP) algorithm is used for an off-line optimization. Then, in order to design a modified fuzzy control strategy, the DP results are used to optimize the selection of membership functions and fuzzy rules. Finally, the proposed strategy is verified with simulation, and two kinds of commonly used control strategies are adopted for comparison. Results show that the performance of proposed strategy is more close to the result that with global optimal strategy and the proposed strategy can adapt to the complex working conditions both in optimal performance and real-time requirement.
