Title: The Polish Emigration to Great Britain in the Years 2004–2016. Implications for the Polish-British Relations
Abstract: Emigracja nie jest zjawiskiem nowym w polskiej rzeczywistości. Powodowana różnorodnymi przyczynami, generuje określone konsekwencje z punktu widzenia państwa i społeczeństwa. Odzwierciedleniem tego założenia jest kwestia emigracji Polaków do Wielkiej Brytanii po 2004 roku, która stanowi wyzwanie w kontekście polityki zagranicznej Polski i będących jej następstwem stosunków polsko-brytyjskich. Zauważyć bowiem należy, iż migracje, w szczególności w wy miarze społecznym i gospodarczym, stanowią ważny komponent polityki zagranicznej, zarówno państwa wysyłającego, jak i przyjmującego. Celem artykułu jest przeanalizowanie wpływu emigracji Polaków do Wielkiej Brytanii w okresie poakcesyjnym na poziom i charakterpolsko-brytyjskiej współpracy. Dodatkowo starano się ustalić, jakie przesłanki determinowały polską aktywność oraz jakie działania podejmowano na rzecz ochrony interesów Polaków przebywających na terytorium Wielkiej Brytanii.
