Title: A quality assessment on digital image with multiple distortion and different image types
Abstract: A quality metric of the image is the major interesting area in the digital image processing system. The metric or assessment can be done individually or accurately on the image. It is vital for a digital imaging system to be able to guess the quality of the image and predict the minimum and maximum value of the metric used to evaluate the image quality. So that it can be preserved, control and possibly improve the quality of the image before storage or transmission. Most of the researchers use PSNR as an accurate image quality metric. In this paper, we provide a collection of quality metrics for images containing various types of distortions and several of image types concerned. Various experiments are done with different percentage of multiple distortion in different types of images with help of toolbox in MATLAB. We suggested suitable metric for different types of images with varying percentage of multiple distortion.
