In that case micro-inverter technology is going to play a significant role. This paper presents the Micro Inverter System and its control technique for solar roof top panels. Micro Inverter is designed with two stage power conversion technique. First step involves DC-DC conversion whereas second step is DC-AC. Half boost converter is implemented which results in minimal number of semiconductor switches. The efforts are made mostly towards conquering circuit simplicity, better performance and greater solidity. To harvest more solar energy, maximum power point tracking (MPPT) is used. For MPPT, voltage step size (VSS) algorithm is adopted. To demonstrate usefulness of the suggested work simulation studies are performed.Read More
