Abstract: In this paper, we study the effect of hardware non-idealities on the performance of Time Modulated Arrays (TMAs). In a TMA structure, RF switches are used to shape the beam and steer it. A real switch has a nonzero switching time, which could be different from one switch to another one. In this paper, considered implanted eight element array in the presence of errors, which errors have reasonable ranges and then compare real patterns with the ideal pattern for four harmonics. Frequency of carrier is 1.3GHz and switching frequency is 1MHz. Different time errors have a little effect on beam pointing and beam width error. For side lobe level (SLL) error, various error sources have same influence on different harmonic. But maximum power of main lobe error has more depend on the harmonics, higher harmonic means more error.
