Title: Keynote Speech 1: Technology development and wheelset safety guarantee system of China's high-speed railway
Abstract: As an important land transport, high-speed railway is fast, efficient, resource saving and environment friendly. China attaches great importance to the development of high-speed railway and cultivation the new economic forms. More favorable policies for Infrastructure construction, especially in the field of high-speed railway, have been made for improving quality and efficiency of public transportation and facilitating macroeconomic. As a key part of bogie in high-speed train, wheelsets play a role of bearing and guiding, also they have to deal with very complex interaction between wheel and track and bear huge load from bending and twisting. Thus the status of vehicle directly affects the safety and comfort of high speed train. After several years' continuous effort in research and experiments, China has already built an integrated health monitor system for the trains in service, guaranteeing the high-quality-operation of high speed train effectively. This paper introduces the construction and operation of high speed railway network in China and exhibits the High-speed Rail In-Service Health Ensuring System from four aspects: special service conditions and the main factors affecting health, the key research direction, application of independent researched wheel and axle, and risk prevention and control during the whole service process. At last, this paper is looking forward to the future of china high-speed railway. The core of the project is to build “Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal” high-speed railway network for providing passengers with high quality and efficient service, building integrated passenger terminal station, achieving convenient passenger transfer as well as integrating of transport and commerce.
