Abstract: Background: Intestinal rehabilitation is the treatment for children with ultra-short bowel syndrome (USBS). It is based on management of long-term parenteral nutrition (LTPN). If nutritional failure develops, intestinal transplantation (ITx) should be discussed and may be life-saving.
