This study adds ...Previous studies on strategic orientations typically examine its impact on organizational performance, without paying sufficient attention on the process of how does the impact occur. This study adds to the research of strategic orientations - organizational performance relations by examining the role of strategic flexibility and strategic human resource management. Based on a study of 188 Chinese companies, the results suggest that strategic flexibility mediates the strategic orientations (i.e. market orientation and entrepreneurial orientation) - performance relationship. Moreover, strategic human resources management positively moderates the relations of strategic orientations (i.e. market orientation and entrepreneurial orientation) and strategic flexibility.Read More
