Title: Effect of optimization of parking capacities on logistic flows in tourist destinations
Abstract: The need for parking the cars of tourists in tourist destinations is one of the fundamental determinants of transportation travel demand. Satisfaction surveys show visitors some destinations a lower level of satisfaction if there is not enough parking spaces. The research problem of importance for this work stems from the fact that the demand for parking services is not constant. Variability and dynamics of demand for parking services are the main problem of determining the required size of parking capacity. The lines at the entrance to the parking lot, especially in peak periods are a daily occurrence. Accordingly, we are constantly seeking to answer the following questions: What is the demand for parking services to which should be dimensioned optimal capacity of the parking lot? What is the acceptable percentage of under-capacity parking lot? In order to provide parking services at a time of increased demand?
