Title: Estranged dreams of superlative irrationalities: An extremist's view of the relationship between art and science
Abstract: Writers can be among the most unreliably subjective witnesses to science's truths of human existence. Great writers and artists are contrary thinkers, antipathetically liberated from conventional strictures in their aesthetic responses to conflicting iniquities, passions, fetishes, fears and furies. To be absorbed creatively, life must be differently felt, but, unsurprisingly, there are few other absolutes in the arduous journey of artistic revelation. Fortunately, their distinguished unpredictability guarantees that this fanciful account of what writers and artists simply cannot pretend to be, in relation to the sciences, will be contradicted at the earliest possible opportunity.
