Variations of the instantaneous lift and drag coefficients for the angle of attack coincided well to the time averaged value obtained at each angle under the steady angle condition. As one of the ways to introduce the basic dynamic control of the stall, further study has been done to see if this instantaneous lift signal could be used to detect the stall, i.e, a trigger to start the actuation, and also to see if a sudden actuation would still be effective in this flow regime. It was found that the appropriate smoothing of the signal enabled the detection of the stall and the actuation after the stall made the same increase of the lift and delay of the stall as those of the continuous actuation.Read More
