Title: Numerical Prediction of Wind Power by Means of Measured Data From Small Wind Turbine and Wind Climate
Abstract: This paper describes wind power forecasting by mean of measured date from small wind turbine and wind climate. Using the small wind turbine generation having the capacity of 5kW, the power of generation and wind speed in the past two years were investigated. The variation in wind speed are described by the Weibull probability distribution with two parameters, the shape parameter 'k', and the scale parameter 'c'. From the results, it was found that there is a correlation between value of wind power generation and parameters in the Weibull distribution, so that it is possible to forecast value of wind power generation by means of measuring of wind speed distribution.
