Title: Length-weight relationship and condition factor of Clarias gariepinus (Burchell, 1822) from Kiri reservoir, Adamawa state, Nigeria
Abstract: The present study describes the length-weight relationship and condition factor of Clarias gariepinus, in Kiri reservoir. A total of 90 specimens were caught by local fishermen using fishing gears such as gill net and drag net from July-December, 2014. Mean monthly standard length of 22.63 ± 2.91 cm, 22.20 ± 1.82 cm, 21.57±2.47, 23.43±2.18, 21.57 ± 2.25 cm and 22.13±1.44cm, and Mean monthly weight of 116.68 ±53.03g, 105.56 ±20.76 g, 78.69±19.85, 124.24±28.25, 106.64±43.17 and 112.51±16.47 were observed from July-December respectively.
