Title: European Union priorities for the conclusion of theinternational transatlantic trade and investment partnershipand its possible implications for the EU
Abstract: The aim of this paper is to identify the reasons for TTIP
negotiations on the European Union side, clarify priorities by
the European Union in the negotiations will be applied
according to the above Directive and provide an overview of
basic anticipated impacts of the closure of TTIP for the
European Union. Possible risks are also on the probable
introduction of the dispute settlement mechanism of the
information system of data boxes (ISDS) between the investor
and the state where the authors of this paper tend to a variant
of legal proceedings before national courts with the option of
judicial structures of the European Union. ISDS set mechanism
is a normal part of trade agreements and remains a challenge
for the negotiators from the ranks of the EU to act such
conditions that the Member States, but investors were provided
with sufficient guarantees of an independent and professional
decisions in resolving their disputes. Probable barriers to
effective use of opportunities that TTIP will mainly
businessmen, but also for consumers the author sees the
contribution of inadequate transport infrastructure of some EU
member states and low competitiveness of some national
economies. We must also reckon with the possibility of certain
currency fluctuations, particularly in countries that are not
part of the Euro zone.
