Abstract: Wenn die Rede von Wirksamkeitsfaktoren in der Psychotherapie ist, zeigt sich immer wieder, dass die Arzt-Patienten-Beziehung den größten Einfluss auf eine gelingende Therapie hat. Dies ist übertragbar auf die Beziehung somatischer Ärzte zu ihren Patienten. Stimmt die Beziehung, ist die Adhärenz deutlich erhöht, Kritikpunkte werden eher angesprochen bzw. Missverständnisse aus dem Weg geräumt und das so gestärkte Vertrauen in die Behandlung wirkt positiv auf den Behandlungserfolg.
