Title: Suzanne Renaud – Henri Pourrat : Correspondance (1947-1959), Traduction et analyse
Abstract: The diploma thesis deals with translation of letters, which French writer Henri Pourrat (1887 – 1959) and French poet Suzanne Renaud (1889 – 1964) wrote to each other during years 1947 – 1959. After being married with Czech poet Bohuslav Reynek, Suzanne Renaud lived at Moravian Highlands. She was translating Czech and Moravian folk poetry there. The publication of these translations in France became the chief topic of the correspondence with Henri Pourrat, who devoted his entire life to folk literature. However, the uniqueness of the letters lies in mutual respect and harmony. Our work is divided into four parts. In the first one, the authors and their work is introduced, the second part is focused on correspondence from analytic and stylistic point of view and then the translation is introduced, the fourth part consists of the analysis of translations.
