Title: Education as Leading Humans to Be Perfect: A Buddhist Perspective
Abstract: A proper education system in the world must lead to positive changes in human behavior, which will eventually bring happiness, tranquility and peace towards oneself, and others. The perfect human, from a Buddhist perspective, is a person who is trying to achieve three goals in life: 1) as a human being, one should practice to be a better person, and rid oneself of suffering; 2) as a comrade of birth, aging, illness, and death, one should care for others, bringing others to the right track of righteousness, and getting rid of selfishness, as best as one can; 3) as a world citizen, one should seek the opportunity to make this world a better place, caring for humankind and for other living things in the natural environment, so we can hand over a better world to the next generation. The perfect human being in the Buddhist perspective should learn to enhance himself to achieve these three goals.
