Abstract: This chapter discusses about the correlation and regression. The word correlation refers to a relationship between two or more objectives. In statistics, the word correlation refers to the relationship between two variables. We wish to be able to quantify this relationship, measure its strength, developing equation for predicting scores, and an important aspect of correlation is how strong it is. The strength of a correlation is measured by the correlation coefficient, which is denoted by r (called Pearson's product moment correlation coefficient). The ρ symbol is also used to denote coefficient of correlation. In this chapter we also introduce regression, which will help us to find an objective way to predict or estimate the value of one variable given the value of another variable. This chapter also covered the methods for the calculation of coefficient of correlation.
