Title: Unequal spacing grey system GM (1, 1) model in settlement monitoring
Abstract: In this paper, grey system model is referred to as GM, and there are the two reasons why this paper uses the GM, on the one hand, the requirement of data and calculation is low, and on the other hand, it is simple to operation. Based on the above characteristics, the GM (1, 1) model is used to model, analyze and predict the settlement monitoring data of buildings, and compare accuracy of its results with results of regression analysis model to identify its feasibility, correctness and accuracy. However, the classical GM (1, 1) model is limited by data which is must be order data, so it is necessary to find a way to calculate data which is disorderly data. In this paper, order data is means to observed data with the same time interval, at the same time, this paper presents a new interpolation grey system model, which is an extension of the GM (1, 1) in that interpolation method is used to make the data with same time interval. The results show that it would be better to introduce the Lagrange interpolation method to GM (1, 1) model to analyze the settlement monitoring data which is corresponding unequal time, and also show that it is good at short term prediction of building sedimentation from the point of this paper.
