Title: A Study on the University Student's Leisure Satisfaction, Self-esteem and Life Satisfaction
Abstract: The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between university student's leisure satisfaction, self-esteem and life satisfaction. A total of 233 questionnaires was used for the final analysis. Data processing was done for frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis and regression analysis. The result from the study shows that 1) leisure satisfaction had the statistically significant effect on self-esteem partly. 'social' and 'achievement themselves' had the statistically significant effect on self-esteem, but 'rest' had not the statistically significant effect on self-esteem. 2) self-esteem has positive impact the life satisfaction. 3) leisure satisfaction has impact the life satisfaction partly. 'rest' and 'achievement themselves' had the statistically significant effect on the life satisfaction but 'social' had not the statistically significant effect on the life satisfaction. 4) in the relationship between leisure satisfaction and life satisfaction, self-esteem can be a crucial mechanism in the relationship of leisure satisfaction and life satisfaction. Consequently, this study shows that, when the students hold self-esteem and experience various leisure during the campus life, it can contribute to promoting their personal life.
