Title: A new gray value retention histogram equalization
Abstract: In the field of image processing histogram equalization is a method to enhance images by adjusting the image contrast. The idea is to change the original image histogram from the more concentrated gray-scale range into all the uniform distribution. There is a shortcoming that gray-scale merging in traditional histogram equalization image enhancement. A gray-scale retention histogram equalization can reduce the adverse effects of the gray-scale mergering and retain more image details. This method has been improved in this paper, we use Measure of Medium Truth Degree to determine which is better, the method retains high gray-level or the one retains the low gray-level.
