Title: Janáčekʹ s The Diary of One Who Disappeared. Some notes on the genesis on the work and its interpretation
Abstract: At the time of the first performance of Její pastorkyně (Her Stepdaughter) in Prague's National Theatre, there were published anonymous poems in the Lidové noviny newspaper called Z péra samoukova (Written by self-taught), which depicted love story of a young boy with the Gypsy girl.The story told how he left his parents and sacrificed for love and freedom his own peaceful and secure life.Janáček got interested in the story and cut the text out.He returned to the composition one year later.In
