Title: 18세기 낙론계(洛論系)의 『반계수록(磻溪隨錄)』 인식과 홍계희 경세학의 사상적 기반
Abstract: Statecraft theory of Han-dang(漢黨) had had a great impact on the formation progress of academic tradition of Nak School through the medium of Cho Sung-ki. Cho Sung-ki was a little brother of Cho Won-ki and Cho Hyun-ki who were core members of Han-dang and they showed great interest in the statecraft theory from the earlier times. Their interest in the statecraft study were extended to Kim Chang-hyeob and Kim Chang-heub brothers. But that interest was mere interest and it was not a sort of deep exploration into the statecraft theory in concrete. From this point of view, lack of concrete statecraft theory was something that should Nak School solve whose academic tradition had been based upon literature and Mind and Heart theory. After then, Yi Chae inherited academic tradition of the Nak School had a tendency to focus upon Euiri theory(義理論). That was because their viewpoint within the Nak School had been reshuffled into `fulfillment of Noron`s Euiri` since Shin-im Imprisonment(辛壬獄事). We can guess this kind of academic atmosphere in recognition about Pan gye surok(磻溪隨錄) by Yim Sung-chu. This academic trend, however, followed by Gyeong-shin Disposition(庚申處分, 1740), Shin-yu Large Admonition(辛酉大熏, 1741), Eul-hae Imprisonment(乙亥獄事, 1755) had been changed as Noron`s Shin-im Euiri were almost carried out and scholarship of Ching China and western learning were also introduced. Accordingly, various academic demands had been emerged within Nak school. A study on the learning of numbers and images under instruction of Kim Won-haeng was one of those demands. Interest in the learning of numbers and images was meant to inherit Nak School`s academic tradition in the era of Kim Chang-hyeop and Kim Chang-heup. Interest in Pan`gye surok was also closely realated to this academic trends. Interest in Pan`gye surok shown by Hong Kye-hee and Kim Won-haeng`s disciples could be reckoned as an effort to complement Nak School`s academic tradition in lack of statecraft theory. Yi Tong-mugs trial that he would like to establish Yi I`s Seong-hak jip-yo(聖學輯要) in Tohak(道學) and Yu Hyong-won`s Pan`gye surok in statecraft as representative writings could be deemed one of such happenings. Similarly, a group of Nak School scholars thought of Pan`gye surok as important statecraft writings, however, there should be no one who were more impressed by Pan`gye surok than Hong Gye-hee under the reign of King Yeong-jo. Hong Kye-hee had led compilation of Pan`gye surok under the reign of King Yeong jo, and he commented that he was greatly impressed by Pan`gye surok in his youth. This can be considered crucial point in a meaning that it was time that such interest in Pan`gye surok was firstly showed in the course of Nak School`s academic tradition. There was following ideological passage through which Hong Kye-hee showed his interest in Pan`gye surok. Hong Kye-hee criticized contemporary scholars who insisted Euiri and principle without being familiar with a concrete statecraft theory. He commented that anybody would love to say about Euiri and principle, but they were not concerned with a concrete statecraft theory necessary to making policies and managing the state. From this point of view, he highly admired Yu Hyong-won and his Pan`gye surok. It was his unique ideological experience that he could criticized the contemporary people and showed his interest in Pan`gye surok. He was once a disciple of Yi Jae and he was not the exception that was deeply impressed by Euiri and principle-oriented academic tradition. He, however, came to be skeptical of this kind of academic atmosphere. In other words, he happened to recognize that Li(理) could be important in a meaning that focused upon Euiri and principle, however Do-su(度數) and Jeol-mok(節目) could also be important in a meaning that realized Li.
