Abstract:The electron transfer reaction between C[sub 60] (Buckminsterfullerene) radical anion and thianthrene radical cation has been carried out in methylene chloride for the first time, liberating an energy...The electron transfer reaction between C[sub 60] (Buckminsterfullerene) radical anion and thianthrene radical cation has been carried out in methylene chloride for the first time, liberating an energy of 1.72 eV which is sufficient to form the first triplet state of C[sub 60].
