It considers causation in fact, the question of causation in law, and the principles governing the related question of remoteness of damage. This chapter also explains that many of the more complex causation cases concern negligence and that in negligence causation must be specifically proved before any liability will be imposed. It analyses court decisions in several relevant cases, including the several exceptions to but-for causation that have developed over time.Read More
