Title: Destination wise Export Performance of India
Abstract: International business has assumed complex dimensions.Exports have assumed a paramount importance in the development process of the economy.This paper gives an insight into the performance of India's exports in terms of changes in world demand and market distribution.The study analysis these components by dividng the time period into three phases namely 1990-91 to 1999-00, 2000-01 to 2007-08 and for the overall period of 1990-91 to 2007-08.In order to know the actual performance of exports data has been converted into constant prices.Simple growth rates, trend base growth rates and Ginni's coefficient of concentration have been used as the tools of analysis.Further t test has also been applied to check the statisticial significance level.The results show frequent fluctuations in the geographical concentration index.The trend value is also negative and insignificant which indicates unfavourable changes in geographical distribution of exports for India.
