Title: Keratotic papules with loss of the lateral eyebrows
Abstract: A 14-year-old boy presented with a 3-year history of skin-colored pinpoint papules on his bilateral eyebrows, glabella, and cheeks. The rash was mildly pruritic. Treatment with hydrocortisone 2.5% cream twice daily, ketoconazole 2% shampoo twice weekly, and frequent use of over the counter moisturizing lotions proved ineffective. No personal or family history of similar rash was reported. The physical examination revealed numerous skin-colored pinpoint keratotic papules clustered in patches on the central face, most prominent on the eyebrows and glabella, with alopecia of the lateral eyebrows (Figs 1 and 2). 1.What is the most likely diagnosis?
