Assuming a common shape parameter for X and Y, approximate lower bounds for R are obtained from complete as well as censored (type-II) samples. The delta method as well as Jack-knife and bootstrap procedures for complete samples and the delta method and Jack-knife procedure for censored samples have been used here to derive estimates of the scale parameters and the common shape parameter. Findings of a simulation study have also been reported.
