The analysis of the prefrontal cortex of monkeys reveals the differential roles of dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (DLPFC), dorsal anterior cingulate cortex (dACC), and orbitofrontal cortex (OFC) in detecting and evaluating outcomes, controlling and planning behaviour, as well as in representing predictions about potential outcomes. The findings also suggest the important role of neuromodulatory systems in adaptation of behaviour and in managing behavioural strategies.Read More
