Title: A knowledge-based structure to improve learning lessons in the military
Abstract: Life extension of military systems poses a continuous risk of soaring costs due to corrosion control measures. In a context where the majority of corrosion problems are a direct result of compounded human and organizational errors, there is scope for considerable savings to budgets by improving the process by which one learns from the lessons of the past. In this paper the use of the latest computer technology is discussed in the context of transforming often sterile reports and documents into easily accessible information systems.
