Title: Multinationals and the New Theory of Internalization
Abstract: In the past ten years or so it has become academically respectable to study the multinational enterprise. There is now a sufficient body of high-quality analytical work available to develop a theory of the multinational enterprise (MNE). The sophisticated theoretical models of recent years have been accompanied by more detailed and complex empirical studies of foreign direct investment. The time has come to integrate this theoretical and empirical work into a general theory of the MNE.KeywordsForeign Direct InvestmentInternal MarketForeign InvestmentInternational BusinessForeign MarketThese keywords were added by machine and not by the authors.
