Title: Exploring the Emergent State-Society Synthesis: Russia-Latin America Relations
Abstract: Russia-Latin America relations are an empirical manifestation of how state power, perceptions, interests, and methods for realizing those interests have been impacted by the hyper-networked nature of contemporary international order and organization. Russia-Latin America relations illustrate how network-based cooperative frameworks and institutions both complement and challenge state power and prerogatives on the world stage. Additionally, Russian engagement with the region illustrates the consequences that devolve from a complex, hyper-networked international order. It appears that networks facilitate engagement and are having an independent effect on the potential for constructive and integrative engagement that lies outside the traditional sphere of action and limitations under a system of states.KeywordsForeign PolicyPolitical IdeologyInternational OrderDiplomatic RelationWorld StageThese keywords were added by machine and not by the authors.
